Congratulations Dr. Sluka!
We are delighted to announce that our very own Dr. Christina Sluka has successfully defended her PhD dissertation at the University of Wyoming!
Dr. Sluka’s research focuses on how raccoon behavior and morphology changes across urbanization gradients, specifically investigating patterns of phenotypic variation and adaptation under these unique urban conditions and exploring how these can inform our understanding of evolution in the past and future. By combining insights from direct observations of raccoons across urbanization gradients with morphological studies informed by behavioral ecology, Dr. Sluka’s research makes connections between individual experiences and subsequent fitness consequences.

Congratulations, Christina!
