Lab Move Update!

In 2020, the Animal Behavior and Cognition Lab made the move to Vancouver, BC, CA and to the University of British Columbia (UBC). Over the last year, Dr.  Sarah Benson-Amram (lab P.I) and graduate students Jay Bastos and Hannah Griebling have been working hard to get research activities up and running in Vancouver. Meanwhile, lab member, Christina Sluka stayed at the University of Wyoming (UW) to continue research and monitoring of the raccoon populations in Laramie, Wyoming. Christina will be continuing the University of Wyoming Raccoon Project that Dr. Benson-Amram started at UW in 2015. Through these two branches of the Animal Behavior and Cognition Lab, our research will be bolstered by data from two distinct populations allowing our work to investigate behaviors and trends across multiple cities and biomes. Future updates and posts in this news section will distinguish from which branch of our lab updates come, giving you a clear picture of our activities across Western North America. Stay tuned for these updates as we start on this collaborative journey!
