Publication Alert: Elephant Cognition

Project alumna, Dr. Lisa Barrett, published her dissertation research in two publications in the Journal of Comparative Psychology and the journal Animal Behavior and Cognition. The papers, entitled “Can Asian Elephants use water as a tool in the floating object task” (2020) and “Multiple assessments of personality and problem-solving performance in captive Asian elephants and African savanna elephants (2021) illustrate he research on cognition in elephants.
