Publication Alert: Environmental, individual and social traits of free-ranging raccoons influence performance in cognitive testing

Lab alumna Lauren Stanton and PI Sarah Benson-Amram have a new publication in the Journal of Experimental Biology. Lauren used an RFID-enabled operant conditioning device to assess the habituation, learning and cognitive flexibility of a wild population of raccoons. The results have implications for future studies of wild carnivore cognition and coexistence with raccoons. Check it out!
