Animal Behavior Society Conference

Several past and present lab members recently attended the Animal Behavior Society Annual Conference in Portland, Oregon! It was a great week filled with lots of inspiring, exciting research.

Symposium: Cognition in a Changing World

Lab PI Sarah Benson-Amram co-organized a symposium on Cognition in a Changing World in memory of the influential animal cognition researcher Julie Morand-Ferron. Invited speakers covered a range of topics on how animals are using their intelligence to adapt to rapid changes in their environments.

Raccoon cognition research

Graduate student Hannah Griebling presented a poster on her recent work developing a cognitive test battery for raccoons. Her work evaluated inhibitory control (AKA self-control) and numerical discrimination in raccoons.

Presentations from Lab Alums!

Lab alumnae (pictured L to R) Rachel Fanelli, Lisa Barrett, and Lauren Stanton all presented on their most recent work. It was great to catch up with them and see all the great work they are doing now!
